4 Hints for Creating Valuable and Interesting Content That Attracts Your Ideal Clients

You may have heard the phrase ‘Content is Queen’, and if you’re struggling to attract your ideal client, creating valuable content is a sure-fire way of making your brand more visible in your industry.

Your content is the only way to build emotional connections and attract your ideal client online (besides 1:1 calls & livestreams, but those can be classed as valuable content, too!) Your way is your #BrandTruth!

Content that will attract your ideal client shows your expertise, provides solutions to your audience’s problems, and simply showcases your unique way of how you serve.  

But for it to be successful, it needs to be as valuable as possible, your creations need to show you are gifted at what you do to help your tribe trust in your paid products.

The key here is to keep your ideal client in mind at all times – her dreams, her goals, her determination, her challenges. Your skill in acting on that understanding directly correlates with your ability to attract DREAM clients again and again.

You could visualize it as an energetic field around you, your website, and social media presence, that is not only visible and clickable, but also feel-able and attract-able.

Here are a few hints to point you in the right direction:

1. Make your Content Visible

With the amount of content and distractions on the internet, you need to make your content as visible as possible, so your ideal client can find your gifted, valuable content without having to dig around for it.

Here are a few best practices for maintaining visibility:

  • Create a PDF version of every blog post you write, and share it in Facebook Groups.
  • Share your content across multiple platforms: your website, blog, social media and especially your mailing list.
  • Optimize your content for search engines by including keywords in your blog post or web page to make your content easy to find in searches on Google & Pinterest.
  • Use a clickable headline: Your headline is such an important feature of your blog post, as you want your readers to feel inclined to click and read your content, leading them to your website.

2. Make your Content Readable

To make your videos, articles, and posts simply to resonate with your ideal clients, present it in a simple-to-read format, so they find it easy to engage.

  • Use bullets and numbers to make your key points clear.
  • Use subheadings to break up the copy. People like to scan and identify the information they are looking for.
  • Keep your paragraphs short and sweet.

3. Make your Content Understandable

Make your content easy to understand by explaining concepts step-by-step and avoiding jargon. This allows your audience to learn from you while still feeling like insiders who can instantly identify with what you’re saying.

  • Provide definitions and background information for your readers if you’re using terminology they may not understand quite yet.
  • Use analogies to help your tribe visualize what you’re explaining… For example, “Your logo is the face of your brand.”

4. Make your Content Actionable

Your ideal clients want to read content that teaches them and provides the next steps to follow and to receive a specific outcome. 

  • Provide a helpful step by step approach...for example, “5 Steps to Create a Brand Story for Your Website.” Then, lay it out in a direct manner.
  • Include a Call-to-Action (CTA) to make clear to your reader what you want them to do next.

For example, “Go to my website at www.yourfuturedesign.com to learn more” or “Subscribe to my newsletter at www.yourfuturedesign.com for the latest news and exclusive offers.”

  • Provide additional resources that can help them better understand the topic. Include a link to additional content, from yourself and other experts.

Regardless of what industry you are in or who you serve, you can apply the tips above to create valuable content for your audience.
